Participating in the SIAO

Participation in the Biennale de l'Artisanat Africain will enable you to showcase your new products and promote their added value, meet new prospects (prospective professional buyers in the crafts sector) and your customers in an ideal exhibition park (2 air-conditioned pavilions and 2 ventilated pavilions), stand out from the competition and increase your visibility and reputation with the presence of the national and international press (over 500 journalists from all over the world).

Before
the event

You need to prepare for a trade show. Contact your potential customers beforehand, and invite them.

Make a list of the 5 companies that are most important to you, and with whom you absolutely want to make contact during the show.

Find out the names of the people responsible for the sector you're interested in, so you can contact them directly.

Learn how to present and "sell" yourself in a few words.

During
the event

  • At a trade show, go straight to the point. First impressions are crucial.
  • Choose the people on your stand with care. They should be able to explain the product or service in 25 words.
  • Check that all your documentation is ready.
  • Make sure your business cards clearly describe your offer and what sets you apart from the competition.
  • Prepare notes or invitations to leave on other stands and make contacts.

After
the event

After the event, don't forget the follow-up.

Send a letter and call within 2 days to make an appointment with a customer.
